Eric Lichter earned a Bachelor's Degree in Lifestyle Management/Exercise Science from Weber State University (WSU) in Ogden, Utah in 1997. Upon completing his collegiate football career at WSU, Eric served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the WSU football team under Mike Jenkins, the former strength and conditioning coach at Marshall University.
Eric is a certified personal trainer (CPT) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Eric has spent the past ten years (1996 - present) preparing high school, collegiate and professional athletes for competition in a variety of sports. |
In 2000, Eric opened the Speed Strength Athlete Training Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS and NHL, as well as numerous collegiate athletes have flocked to Cleveland to train under Eric's guidance. In 2002, clients JR Bremer and Nene Hilario dominated the field at the NBA pre draft camp, held annually in Chicago. They set numerous physical testing records and were ranked number one and two overall, out of 80 draft eligible players from around the world. In 2005, NFL draft prospect Cole Magner of Bowling Green State University opened the eyes of NFL scouts by posting the years fastest times in the three cone and the short shuttle drills. Magner recorded back-to-back 6.40 seconds in the three-cone drill and 3.84 seconds in the short shuttle drill. 2006 NFL Draft eligible client Derrick Martin (University of Wyoming) ran the fastest long shuttle (10.64 seconds) and the second fastest short shuttle (3.94 seconds) overall at the NFL draft combine held annually in Indianapolis. 2006 Draft eligible client Donte Whitner (Ohio State) was taken as the 8th overall pick of the draft by the Buffalo Bills due to his blazing fast 40 yard dash times and during the pre-draft workout process.

NFL Draft picks Donte Whitner, Bobby Carpenter, Anthony Schlegel, Barry Cofield, , Nate Salley, Rob Sims, Derrick Martin, Chester Taylor, James Davis, Adrian Clarke, Antwan Lake, Tony Fisher, Khary Campbell, Jamar Martin, Jacob Bell and Antwan Peak have all prepared for the draft under Eric's guidance.
NBA Draft picks LeBron James, Nene Hilario, DeSagana Diop, Leandrino Barbosa, Julius Hodge, Malick Badiane, Mile Ilic, and Louis Williams have all prepared for the draft under Eric's guidance. As well as this years (06') promising prospects Marcus Vinicius (Brazil) and Morro (Brazil) who are both First-Round prospects. |
Other top athletes who have trained under Eric's guidance include LeBron James, former Heisman Trophy winner Ron Dayne, NFL standouts London Fletcher, LeCharles Bentley, Nate Clements, Antonio Gates and Joe Jurevicious as well as many other college and professional athletes.

Eric served as a consultant to the 2002 National Champion Ohio State Buckeye Football program while bringing the Power Plate technology to the schools strength program as well as the University's Synchro Team, which attained 5 National Titles in the 90's and placed two swimmers on the 92' and 96' United States Olympic teams, respectively. Eric is a consultant to Brazilian professional basketball team Objetivo/Sao Carlos in Sao Carlos, Brazil. In 2005, Eric and his company were hired to run the National High School All Star Football Scouting Combines held in 16 different NFL cities. |
Also in 2005, Eric was hired as a fitness expert / consultant by Fitness Quest (www.fitnessquest.com), which developed such products as Chuck Norris Total Gym, Jennifer and Joe Montana's Home Gym, The BOSU ball, Tony Little's Gazelle Glider and more and has hosted two infomercials for Fitness Quest exercise products. In June of 2006, Eric was named the Director of Football Performance for The Ohio State University Buckeye football program and currently holds that position in Columbus, Ohio.
